We officially retired in 2012 and decided to spend time travelling.  We purchased a 39 foot Fifth Wheel RV and pick up truck and, after some small one- week trips to test it out, we took off for our Falling Leaves trip.  Our first recorded trip was in July 2012 to St Mary’s, Georgia.  Next was a one week trip that started in Alabama, but finished in Cave Spring, Georgia in August of 2012.  Ten days later we were off for our big adventure.  Falling Leaves is a trip to Maine that continues south as the leaves turn color during the Fall.  As you can see, these were just the beginning of our travel plans both by RV and flying.

In 2017, after five years of RVing, we sold the unit but continued traveling by car and plane.  2020 put a real kink in our travel plans but we are forging on in spite of the obstacles life continues to throw at us.

Each year, we convert these blog posts to a hard cover book for us to use to reminisce and fact check ourselves when we disagree on the facts.  That is real purpose of this blog but it can also help our friends and family keep track of us and share in our fun.
